Highly Innovative Client Base
The Precision.BI Client Community consists of 175+ organizations including multiple hospital entities, billing companies, and some of the largest physician practices in the country. Many of the PBI clients are second generation BI users. In many instances, our clients replaced Cognos, Business Objects, Oracle, Hyperion, and others with PBI.
A few of our clients: Cooper Health System, Yale Medical Group, Univ of Virginia, Univ of Florida, Pinehurst Surgical Clinic, Spartanburg Regional Health System, Scripps Health System, Montefiore Health System, CBIZ, Univ of California, The Reading Hospital and Medical Group, Univ Health System Cleveland, Univ of Nebraska, Univ of Minnesota, Univ of South Florida, New England Medical Center, Thomas Jefferson Univ, Temple Univ, George Washington Univ, Univ of Cal Irvine, and Univ of Colorado Hospital.
Organizations within the Healthcare Payer and Provider industry are especially well served by the deployment of business intelligence solutions. This is principally because all sectors possess myriad legacy transactional systems with voluminous stores of data specialized to perform singular functionality. Our customers often have more than tens of millions of transactions spread across multiple legacy systems or in a single mission-critical system. Precision.BI can make sense of all this data and alleviate the challenges of silo data.
PBI is designed for the Healthcare Payer and Provider industry including both the acute care and ambulatory services. We like to call it a "Single Source of Truth". In integrated delivery systems, with multiple hospitals and hundreds of physicians, PBI brings together disparate repositories of data in a single business intelligence solution. With all the data stored within our Healthcare Dimensional Model - ("HDM") we offer an enterprise wide solution for analytics across clinical, financial and other operational disciplines.
The healthcare sectors mentioned below share common transactional data. The basis for all four is the delivery of medical care and the subsequent processing of financial and clinical information.
- Hospitals
- Clinics
- Payers
- Billing Companies
Precision.BI is vendor and data agnostic. It consolidates data from McKesson, Siemens, IDX, VitalWorks, Lawson, homegrown systems and other leading legacy healthcare systems. Nightly feeds from these systems provide a current view of your problems before they become uncorrectable. Imported data is organized within our metadata layer and then structured within our HDM. We become your sole source; your "Datamart" for personalized information.
"We've already rolled it out to our practice and regional managers with great success. Our next step is to roll it out to physicians and front-line employees to help them better manage their business. And, frankly, we aren't nervous at all about expanding access to Precision.BI because it's proving to be reliable."
Below are a few more comments from our clients.
PBI has allowed me to learn functional report building terms and apply them in a very fast paced environment enabling me to drill down in minutes to the exact data needed. I have worked with other reporting tools that have, at times, been very difficult and time consuming to drill through to reach the specific data needed. One of the best aspects of PBI is it is very user friendly and still allows me to produce technically savvy reports that impress my audience with accuracy and detail. I just wanted to share with you a small Precision.BI success story that occurred today. One of our analysts was running an IDX query to pull data on refunds > $9,000 that had posted in fiscal year 2006. This query was going down to the transaction level in IDX and was searching all transactions for the entire year. The analyst started running the query this morning and as of 4pm it was still running. It was still on the first pass of the query and had searched 1.9 million records. We halted the IDX query and I then looked at the logic in the IDX query. It was not complex by any means and I proceeded to set up a crosstab in Precision to pull the same data. The crosstab took me less than 5 minutes to set up and in less than one minute, I had the results. This is a query that we have been running annually for our internal audit department and we had the IDX query results from last year. I was able to tie the Precision crosstab back to last year's IDX data and it matched exactly. So, to sum it up, a job that was going to take us over a day to produce, from IDX, will now take us less than a minute to accomplish. I just thought you might enjoy knowing about the benefits that we continue to see from Precision.BI. UVA Health Services Foundation
Yale chose Precision.BI primarily due to the fact that its fully integrated components helped us achieve our goal of joining several data sources to produce consolidated reports. We are just rolling out our individualized physician dashboard reports and the feedback thus far is very positive. The PBI product is highly flexible; as our data needs become increasingly complex, we continually discover new functionality. We have found the PBI staff to be committed to Yale's aggressive timelines through the development of innovative solutions for our challenging requests. Yale University School of Medicine
Precision.BI has proven to be a stable and highly reliable cross-platform solution where the ROI begins immediately. Its security measures are robust. All those who use it are incredibly pleased with their ability to access information independently instead of having to rely on IT to provide it. Cooper currently has over 400 internal users now accessing Precision.BI reports, dashboards, crosstabs and other analytical output specifically tailored and designed to help them in performing their respective jobs. We are getting ten times the amount of useful data out of Precision.BI in just two short months than we did in the past three years. Precision.BI takes the guess-work out of where to find data because it has just one application for both summary and detail information. We are extremely pleased at how much this has simplified our lives. The return-on-investment is already realized. Spartanburg Regional Health System
The Precision.BI software is a valuable asset to us at the Saint Barnabas Outpatient Centers. It effectively supplements our existing billing and collection software by providing us a more efficient and user-friendly vehicle to “data-mine” our accounts receivable. The Precision software allows us to better isolate and report on specific collection problems by payer/by practice/by procedure/etc. in a way that is impossible with our existing accounts receivable system. As a result, we are able to effect increased collections because of our ability to provide payers with easy-to-read detail that helps facilitate collection discussions. In addition to the software itself, the service provided by Precision BI is extremely effective, timely and customer-friendly. Both the software and the company backing it up, come highly recommended from SBOC. Saint Barnabas Outpatient Centers
Scripps chose Precision.BI for its ability to work with any form of data and allow both administrative and clinical staff to 'mine' and present voluminous data within its mission-critical transaction systems across the health system. In choosing a partner, our most important criteria were rapid deployment, ease of use and the ability to modify for adaptation to the ever- changing healthcare requirements. Scripps Health System
After being live for over a year, 125 Uva HSF staff have their Precision.BI Access Center refreshed on a daily basis with their personalized content. The users love it. The product is intuitive and easy to learn. The solution has made internal operations more efficient by allowing the Decision Support Group to take a more active role in business intelligence and spend less time data mining. University of Virginia
We compile and share ‘decision making’ data via the Access Centers and their Dashboard Views, Charts, Analyses and Worksheet functions of Informatics. Rather than printing reports we export compiled data in myriad formats through the system scheduler. Information is truly at our fingers tips and each day as I’m having my first cup of coffee I can monitor the daily activity of all the areas of our business. The system truly has changed the way we do business for the better and we rely on it more each day. Orlando Health
