PBI Training Schedule

The PBI Training Department is once again offering some group web training sessions to assist our users with various aspects of our software. Some introductory sessions may assist brand new users while some of the advanced topics may be of interest to more experienced users. In addition, we will begin offering some free sessions to help all users take advantage of our new product features.

Please keep in mind that both custom and on-site training are still available and may be more beneficial in certain circumstances.

The purpose of this two-part course is to assist the user in understanding reasons and methods for joining related and unrelated data and using multiple queries to obtain a single result.

Advanced Searching

The attendee will learn concepts and techniques to retrieve data using complex search techniques.  Nested, stacked, and SQL Expressions will be discussed.

Query Optimization 1

In this two-part course, the attendee will learn the object SQL basics in PBI, object performance suggestions, Process Management, and use of PXPTrace and SQL Trace, as well as how to leverage existing SQL Server tools (related to PBI) to assess, plan, and modify index strategies to optimize object performance.

Query Optimization II

Advanced query optimization techniques will be analyzed, such as manual index creation, heuristic changes to the Data Tuning Optimization Wizard, statistics, and optimization job scheduling
